Hello!
I'm a freelance artist and designer from the UK with a background in biology who specialises in digital illustration, natural history illustration, creature design and animal anatomy. All my work is inspired by my love of the natural world which I enjoy exploring both on land and underwater. Past clients include 3DTotal.com, Birdwood Games, Quillsilver Studio, Failbetter Games, Natural England, School of International Futures, Superflux, Marshmallow Laser Feast, Blue Marine Foundation and Somerville College. I have a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation from the University of Leeds. I spent the last three years on the Outreach Committee of the Royal Entomological Society as editor of their children's insect magazine INSTAR. My MSc thesis was titled 'The use of documentary film footage to understand the behaviour of fig wasps' and the 20-minute film created to go alongside it is viewable on Figweb. I'm currently open for freelance work. Please feel free to contact me via the form below, or directly at niqvassie.art(at)gmail.com
